Exeter-based Custom Software and Data Specialists Software Solved celebrates 25th anniversary milestone 

Exeter-based Custom Software and Data Specialists Software Solved Ltd is delighted to announce its 25th year in business.  

Software Solved was founded in May 1998 in Totnes, Devon by Thomas Coles under the name MSM Ltd, with his father George Coles as Founder and FD. In November of that year, our Director of Technology, Jon Stace joined the company as its fifth employee.   

After steadily winning clients such as Mitsui Marine Europe in the early 2000’s, Software Solved became an MS certified partner in 2004 and relocated to Exeter in 2006. The company began to expand at an impressive rate, becoming a Microsoft Gold Partner, BSI ISO certified and officially recognised as a Xamarin Authorised Consulting Partner, transitioning to ISOO 9001:2015 in the following years. 

Since opening its doors 25 years ago, Software Solved has worked to become one of the leading bespoke software development companies in the UK, developing built-to-order software and data solutions. 

The Software Solved team has delivered over 1,000 successful software development projects for some of the UK’s most innovative brands. Its UK-based team works as an extension of its customers to deliver projects to a high-quality, on time and on budget.

Most recently the team have delivered projects such as an award-winning risk consulting platform for a top five insurance company, an order workflow management system for a national retailer, transformation of a policy underwriting system for a Healthcare insurer, data consulting support and analysis for a financial services firm as well as team augmentation for a global retail disruptor. Software Solved’s impressive client list includes: RSA, HSF Health Plan, RSPB, DHL, The National Trust, BearingNet, Royal British Legion and Save the Children, amongst others.
